Carla brings a decade of experience in crafting creative and high-impact publicity campaigns for a wide variety of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry titles. With experience in both corporate and independent publishing presses, she’s held posts at Riverhead Books, Algonquin Books, Catapult/Counterpoint/Soft Skull Press, and most recently served as Director of Publicity at One World. Carla is also a part-time full spectrum doula and freelance writer whose work has been published in the New York Times, New York Magazine, Guernica, Real Simple, McSweeney’s, and much more. A bookworm since birth, she’s a member of the Well-Read Black Girl book club and lives in Los Angeles with her daughter and two cats.

Brittani Hilles

Twisty thrillers, up and coming debuts, swoony love stories and any novel that keeps readers of all ages turning the pages.

Brittani Hilles has over a decade worth of book publicity experience developing standout campaigns for authors across all genres, with a specialty in fiction and young adult literature. She has previously held posts at St. Martin’s Press, Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, and most recently was a Senior Publicity Manager at William Morrow/HarperCollins. Brittani loves a propulsive novel and is always looking for a queer novel she can champion to everyone she meets. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her wife and their two cats and dog.

amelia possanza

Debut novelists, fiction writers who bring a fresh voice and perspective to their work, and memoirists, as well as literary organizations.

Amelia Possanza brings over a decade of in-house publicity experience to her campaigns, including posts at Little, Brown and Company, Touchstone Books, and, most recently, Flatiron Books, where she was the Associate Director of Publicity. 

She is also the author of the nonfiction book Lesbian Love Story: A Memoir in Archives, winner of a Lambda Literary Award. Currently, she lives in Flatbush with her girlfriend and their three cats.
